Donations for the New Student Parent Space

We’re excited to announce that we have a new space dedicated for student parents - the University House Annex located behind the Native Nest!  

Student Parent Space is OPEN!

Come and check out the new Student Parent Space in the University House Annex (155 Shields Ave), between the Native Nest and Voorhies Hall!

Students who visit the space during the month of March will be entered into a drawing for a $25 Aggie Cash Card to use at the Dining Commons and on-campus eateries (CoHo, Peets, food trucks, etc.).

Military Connected and Student Parent Graduate Assistant Position

The Transfer and Reentry Center and Veterans Success Center are hiring Military Connected and Student Parent Graduate Assistants to create opportunities for military connected students and student parents to build a sense of community. GAs report to the Transfer and Reentry Center and the Veterans Success Center, and function as members of the Transfer and Veterans Services team.  Please note that positions are hourly and do not include tuition remission.

Student Parent Food Drive

Homework Club

Children in grades 3-9 are invited to receive support with their homework from UC Davis students at the Homework Club.  

Sessions are scheduled for Tuesdays and Thursdays, 4-5pm and 5-6pm at the Orchard Park Community Center South and Fridays 4-5pm and 5-6pm at the Transfer and Reentry Center (1210 Dutton Hall).  The program begins the first week in November.  

In Person Student Parent Orientation

Incoming graduate, professional, and undergraduate student parents and their families are invited to join us for an in person orientation on Sunday, September 21, 12-3pm at Putah Creek Lodge.  Attendees will enjoy an opportunity to network with other student parents, to connect with campus and community resources, and to introduce their families to UC Davis.  Lunch and children's activities will be provided. 

Back to School Bash Pool Party

Join us for a back to school pool party at the UC Davis Rec Pool (152 La Rue Rd) before the TK-12 school year begins on Sunday, August 3, 6:30-8:30pm.  Families with children of all ages are welcome.  School supply giveaways for school aged children - while supplies last.

Student Parent Pre-Orientation

All incoming undergraduate, graduate, and professional student parents are invited to attend this one-day, virtual pre-orientation designed to help you and your family prepare for your time at UC Davis.  Returning students who would like a refresher are also welcome.

Kids Night Out

Spend a night relaxing and connecting with other student parents while your children are fed and entertained!  The Office of Student Support will be present to share resources and answer questions.

  • Kids ages 6+ can attend Youth Programs Camp at the ARC - pizza will be provided
  • Kids ages 5 and under can enjoy games, activities, and dinner with student volunteers at the Orchard Park Community Center South
