Have a gently used item to gift to a student parent? Submit the Gift Items for Student Parents form. In general, we are looking for larger items such as strollers, cribs, larger toys, bicycles, bike trailers, and similar items. Smaller items like clothing, books, and shoes, will only be considered if part of a collection and in good condition. - Kids Activity Kits at Shields Library
Shields Library offers Kids Activity Kits for checkout from the Circulation Desk for use while you are in the library. Kits include activities from puppets to puzzles to coloring for various ages, from toddler/preschool through elementary school. You will need your Aggie ID to check out a kit. - Student Parent Newsletter
Receive regular updates on programs, events, and services specifically related to student parents at UC Davis. Undergraduate, graduate, and professional students, as well as staff and faculty advocates, are all welcome. The newsletter is compiled by the Student Parent Working Group. - Student Parent Space
Starting in Winter 2026, student parents have their own space to spend time with or without their families. Located in the University House Annex (155 Shields Avenue, next to the Native Nest and Voorhies Hall), the Space features toys and books for ages 0-14; kitchenette with microwave, sink, and fridge; private office for breastfeeding, Zoom meetings, and quiet study; bathroom with changing table; and undergraduate student volunteers to answer questions and interact with children. - Veterans Success Center
The Veterans Success Center (VSC) at UC Davis is committed to providing services to student veterans, service members and dependents of the Armed Services. Support services include assistance with educational benefits and networking opportunities. - Women's Resources and Research Center
The WRRC provides education, advocacy, resources, and a safe space that centers the experiences of womxn, transgender, femme, and nonbinary individuals. The WRRC also operates the Student Parent Closet.
Undergraduate Students
- ASUCD Undergraduate Student Parent Committee
The Undergraduate Student Parent Committee (USPC) was created to help bridge the gap between ASUCD and the undergraduate student parent population. - Collective: Transfer and Non-Traditional Student Empowerment (SRRC)
The Student Recruitment and Retention Center (SRRC) hosts programs to foster holistic development for middle and high school youth and undergraduate students. Collective is a branch of the SRRC that focuses on the experience of transfer students. - Older Wiser Learners (OWLs)
OWLs is a student organization for all non-traditional students (including 25 years of age or older, married, re-entry, caretakers, and/or parents). Serves as a hub for building community and sharing resources that cater to non-traditional students. - Transfer and Reentry Center
TRC assists all transfer students (junior college or community college to UC Davis, UC to UC Davis, out of state to UC Davis) and reentry students (+25 and/or student parents).

Support and resources for graduate students and their families. - Walker Hall Timm Parent Study Room
The Graduate Center at Walker Hall promotes interdisciplinary interactions and community building by serving students and postdoctoral scholars. The Timm Parent Study Room is a dedicated parent meeting room that graduate students and postdoctoral scholars with children can reserve at no cost. Drop-in use is available to all graduate students and postdoctoral scholars but prioritized for student parents. This room is equipped with a whiteboard, two 55" televisions (one for children, HDMI available for devices), and one video conferencing soundbar. Additionally, there is a small children's table/play area. UC Davis coloring pages + crayons are also provided.

- Dolly Parton's Imagination Library
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is dedicated to inspiring a love of reading by gifting books free of charge to children from birth to age five, through funding shared by Dolly Parton and local community partners in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia and Republic of Ireland. Registered children receive a free specially selected book each month. - Generation Hope
To ensure all student parents have the opportunities to succeed, experience economic mobility, and build wealth, Generation Hope engages education and policy partners to drive systemic change and provides direct support to teen parents in college as well as their children through holistic, two-generation programming. - International Parent Community in Davis
Program hosted by the Davis International House to help international parents build friendships and feel at home - Museums for All
Through Museums for All, those receiving food assistance (SNAP benefits) can gain free or reduced admission to more than 1,600 museums throughout the United States simply by presenting their EBT card and a photo ID. - Student Parents at UC
